Turn your favorite strawberry cocktail into a popsicle and enjoy this frozen strawberry margarita as a refreshing happy hour or after dinner treat! You can even add a bit of salt for a real margarita experience.
Directions
Bring water and sugar to a boil in a medium saucepan. Reduce heat to low and simmer until sugar is dissolved. Cool completely.
Puree strawberries in blender. Strain through fine mesh sieve (you should have approx. 350 gram puree). Combine strawberry puree with sugar syrup, lime juice, tequila and orange liqueur. Pour into popsicle molds. Let freeze 2 hours. Sprinkle base of popsicles with salt. Insert popsicle sticks if frozen enough. Let freeze at least 12 hours longer or overnight until solid.
